pune - living again the college life

Andamans - the so called kalapani

When i went there, and was unable to find any traces of 'kalapani'(black water). Instead of kalapaani, I was surprised to see the beautiful and clean beaches over there. Especially the radhanagar beach.

We ate a lot of bengali rasogullas (thanks to suparna - the dadu). Yes Andaman has lot of bengali people and to my great astonishment, u can make a local call to west bengal from andamans because it lies in the same telecom circle. We stayed at some hotel (I dont remember the name). We went to mount Harriot through trekking route. Though a simpler route was also possible, we wanted to get the blood sucker leaches (jonk) taste our blood. One advice from my side: never eat too much before trekking. We saw the lighthouse which is printed on the 20Rs Indian currency note, and also tried to take its pic from same angle as it is on the currency.

I even met some foreigner from france. Dont remember the name of the boy but the foreigner girl's name was valentina and we even took dinner with them. And forget to mention that those were my first trip via airplane.

Bhopal - my birth place

This is the city where I had spent my first 17 years of life. This city is famous for its upper lake (also called BADA Talaab with respect). There are other various lakes also like chota talaab, shahpura lake etc. Some say that previously this city was called bhojpal. The lake is a man made lake (most probably by none other than raja Bhoj).

The city has ample greenery with beautiful gardens. It also has a science centre, NIT-Bhopal college, Manav sanghrahalaya, aquarium(machali ghar), van vihar, Birla mandir. I have fond memories of this place.
One more important thing. My school - Model School (Aadarsha ucchatar madhyamik vidyalaya).
